FROM A BARBERSHOP
IN CHANDLER
In 2020, brothers Jorge and Jesus Ruiz started cooking birria in the back of a Chandler barbershop. Word spread. Lines formed. They opened a storefront at 698 E Chandler Blvd — the original Taco Spot.
Five years later: 23 locations across 7 states. $1.2M average store volume. “Best Taco” winner, AZ Foothills 2026. They still cook the consomé for nine hours. Some things you don't change.
The signature: slow-stewed beef birria packed into a crispy handmade tortilla, drenched in that nine-hour consomé. Plus birria ramen, vampiro tacos, surf-n-turf with the Spot Sauce, protein bowls, and the Agua Fresca that keeps you coming back.
